Our location across the street from Kihei Beach

Our timeshare at Kihei Kai Nani.  The only condo with a view of the ocean.

The sunsets were a nightly event.

We went for walks every day.

And stopped along the way for refreshments.

Our big adventure was sailing to Lanai Island.

Couldn't resist making my move on Words with Friends.

Steve didn't want to miss a thing.

The captain was very friendly.

There were two ships in our flotilla. As we got near Lanai, we saw lots of dolphins.

Lanai is not a very impressive island. Most of it looks like this.

The little harbor is well maintained for the tourists.

We spent a relaxing afternoon on the beach.

That's the ritzy Four Seasons Resort in the background ($459 per night). Now owned by Larry Ellison.

One of the residents took us on a tour of the island.  About 3,000 people live on the island. Almost all work in the tourist industry.  The pineapple plantation was abandon in 1980.  The proud residents have opened this museum that captures the history of their island.

After a fantastic barbecue lunch we set sail for home.

One last umbrella before leaving Maui.
