Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya
March 28, 2022
to
April 2, 2022
Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Departed from
San Francisco
Airport at
9:00am.
5 hours
30 minutes
Arrived
Cancun at
5:30pm.
Running the gauntlet of taxis drivers at the airport was intimidating.
Eventually, we found our limo driver. 30 minutes later we were checking
in.
Arrived just in time to
meet our group for
dinner.
There are 9 in our group;
however, Valentin would
only set 6 max at a table
so each night we had to
divide 5 and 4 per table
for intimate
conversation.
One the way to the beach the next morning.
As VIPs we had
a reserved
cabana on the
beach.
Steve recovering
from last nights
hangover.
I just wish the
ocean wasn’t so
loud.
The cabanas were
lined up on the
beach as far as you
could see.
We saw many
iguana.
In other words..
the place was
crawling with
lizards.
This is the
breakfast and
lunch buffet
area.
It was
outstanding.
Are these lizards getting
bigger or is it just me?
Day or night.
Best chorizos
ever.
Each one filled
with a flavored
cream of your
choice.
The Don Miguel Lounge
Special invitation for VIP guests.
Hors d’oeuvres and signature cocktails.
Our host was
presented with a
Valentin hat and fan.
Ladies and Gentlemen, may I
present the Imperial Snowball.
This was my
personal
favorite..
Imperial Martini
This is the largest lizard so
far.
Notice the lizard
waiting to pounce
on Barbara
Don’t these guys
ever sleep?
There were 5 fabulous
restaurants in this resort.
We tried a different one
each night.
By far my favorite was
the Japanese restaurant
where we sat around the
hibachi grill table and
were entertained by our
personal chef.
Steve really
liked the
Imperial
Martini and
had to have
one more
(maybe 2)
on the last
night.
Thank you
Barbara for a
wonderful
vacation.
