Day 3
(Morning)

Entrance to Titus Canyon

We made a 3 mile round trip to the end of the canyon.

Steve likes his new hat.

Barbara was fascinated by flowers growing out of cracks in the rooks.

The rock formations were amazing.

Notice the clouds. As we entered and exited the canyon the wind was about 30 mph.  The "dust" cloud in the background of the next picture is actually sand blowing off the dunes on the valley floor.

As we exited the canyon you could see the wash which forms the alluvial fan

Bill's primary job:  "clapper loader" for director Jill Wood.

Fall Canyon trailhead was right next to Titus Canyon. But, first we had to hike a mile to reach the canyon wash.

After reaching the canyon wash we still had a half mile hike to the canyon mouth.

Finally, we enter the canyon.

Haven't I see this before?

Is it time for lunch yet?

On the way out we see the sand dune storm again.
Our next stop....the sand dunes!

But first we have to hydrate Barbara.
