with Jill and Bill Wood

First order of business...change dollars to pesos.  One peso = 8 cents.
Test:  You tip the bus driver $1.  How many pesos did you just give him?

Flew from San Jose to Phoenix on US Airways.  Had to deplane, go through customs, and reboard the same plane to Mazatlan.  Arrived Mazatlan about 5 pm.  Customs there was tricky because they are sensitive about people bringing in drugs (they only want to export drugs).  I was the only one that checked a bag and the drug dogs gave it a good sniff before it was turned over to me.  The bus ride to the resort was about 40 minutes through downtown Mazatlan.  On the way we saw some pretty poor neighborhoods.  You should have seen Jill's eyes bug open when we passed a caravan of jeeps with hooded police riding in the back steering mounted machine guns.

Our accommodations were outstanding.

This is the master bedroom with a private bathroom.  There was also a separate guest room and bathroom.

Never turned the TV on.  Note the bridge bidding boxes and boards, courtesy Bill Wood.

We had a wonderful view of the resort and ocean from our balcony.

The pool area was fabulous.  Lots of lounges and umbrellas.  The pool on the left is shallow and lined with sand for kids.

Celebrating with double margaritas.

And some smooth music.
