On our last full day in Mazatlan, we signed up for the Los Osuna Tequila Factory Tour which was about an hour east of Mazatlan.  On the way we passed a farm that breeds fighting roosters.  Each rooster has its own V-shaped shelter and they are tethered to prevent contact with the others.  This farm was huge with shelters as far as we could  see.

Our transportation.  Only 6 people on the tour.

We found the cactus fence pretty interesting.

On the way back we stopped for lunch at a typical small town, El Quelite.  All dirt streets.  Very colorful buildings.

This is the town bakery.

The oven glows all day.

We had a very nice lunch at the local restaurant.

Steve found the men's facility very challenging. His aim isn't as good as it used to be.

Remember at the start I remarked how startled we were to see the hooded police on the back of jeeps with mounted machine guns?  They went by so fast that we didn't have time to get a picture.  Besides, I wasn't sure it was a good idea to be seen taking pictures of the local humbres armados.  This guy turned his back to us momentarily and Jill took a chance at getting a shot, err I mean photograph.  He doesn't have a hood on so maybe he won't mind.

Thanks to our friends Jill and Bill for joining us on this trip and sharing the adventure.
