Rest Day
Slept in. Late breakfast. Lattes at the local hangout, Serious Coffee.

Time to check out the Wildlife Recovery Centre. This is primarily a facility to rehabilitate injured animals with a full operating room. On display were X-rays of birds with broken bones, embedded bullets and swallowed thumb drives.

The place is staffed by volunteers. The have an extensive museum of local animals.

They had one large barn used to exercise eagles back to health. They are isolated from people so when they recover they can be released back to the wild. The only way to view them is through small one way window.

Below is a different bald eagle that was raised and trained at the centre so you could get very close

Later we attended a lecture where they brought the eagle for show and tell.
